02/27/2017: Instead of overloading this page every time I start or finish a book, you can check out what I’m currently reading on my Goodreads Author Page.
09/10/2016: I bought a book of short stories I thought would help me get out of my reading slump. It’s called The Mammoth Book of Dark Magic by Mike Ashley and some of the authors include Marion Zimmer Bradley, Ursula K. Le Guin, Diana Wynne Jones, and Michael Moorcock among 19 others. I’m about halfway through it and I’m enjoying the different perspectives on Magic.
UPDATE 10/23/2016: I just finished this book and holy moly it was fantastic. Granted there were a couple of stories I didn’t find to be memorable or appeal to my tastes, but here are the ones I enjoyed:
TEN THINGS I KNOW ABOUT THE WIZARD, by Steve Rasnic Tem
THE GAME OF MAGICAL DEATH, by Doug Hornig
THE INFESTATION, by Tom Holt
THE WITCH’S BICYCLE, by Tim Pratt
THE SAGE OF THEARE, by Diana Wynne Jones
TIMEKEEPER, by John Morressy
THE DOUBLE SHADOW, by Clark Ashton Smith
THE BONES OF THE EARTH, by Ursula K. Le Guin
FOREVER, by Tim Lebbon
THE WIZARD OF ASHES AND RAIN, by David Sandner
THE LAST WITCH, by James Bibby
THE ETERNAL ALTERCATION, by Peter Crowther
10/24/2016: currently reading BATTLEAXE by Sara Douglass. World builds like George RR Martin and reads like a young adult novel. Solid writing so far and characters are all unique and believable.
